Boat Yard Rules

When hauling your boat out with Granville Island Boatyard there are some rules that you should be aware of. The following applies to all contractors/sub-traders/owners/captains/skippers and tenants:

  • Upon arriving at GIBY, the first step is to report to the boatyard office.
  • The boatyard manager will be able to answer any questions you may have, and if you have not already signed we will provide you with a copy of the rules and regulations.
  • The rules and regulations must be signed prior to your lift, and with the exception of private owners, your insurance and WCB documents must be provided. (Please send any renewal documents to us via fax or email.)
  • Once you have signed, and provided the required documents if applicable, you will not need to sign again unless our rules are updated.

To ensure the fastest service, please download a copy of the rules and regulations and sign it prior to any work. You can send us your signed copy via fax or e-mail.
