Haul-Out Services
Round Trip Haul-Out
A round trip haul-out includes lifting your vessel from the water, blocking it safely on boat stands, and launching it again when your work is complete. This is the most common option for owners planning maintenance, repairs, bottom work, inspections, or seasonal service.
One Way Lift
A one way lift is ideal when your vessel needs to be lifted and kept in the slings for an inspection, survey, or quick repair before being returned to the water. This option is designed for shorter jobs that do not require the boat to be blocked in the yard.
Water-to-Trailer and Trailer-to-Water
Granville Island Boatyard can also assist with moving boats between the water and a trailer. Pricing for these services is outlined in our Boat Yard Pricing Sheet.
Quick Lift Service
For inspections or short service needs, a quick lift may be the right fit. Contact the boatyard office to confirm availability, timing, and whether your vessel and work requirements are suitable for this type of service.
Common questions answered
Yes. You are welcome to work on your own vessel while it is in the yard. All work must follow our Yard Rules, particularly around cleanup and waste disposal. We provide designated disposal drums for contaminants including oil and antifreeze. Read the posted signs and use the correct drum for each material to keep the yard safe and environmentally compliant.
We understand schedules change. If you cannot make your appointment, let us know as soon as possible. Travel lift appointments require specialized equipment, trained operators, and dedicated time slots. Giving us advance notice allows us to offer your slot to another customer on the waiting list and keeps the yard running efficiently. During the busy spring and summer seasons, availability can be limited and it may take several weeks to secure another booking. Our team will help you find the next available time.
